Camille

This is my second review, and it’s been almost a year since I started learning French with Camille. I was honestly hesitant to commit at first because I work long hours and don’t have much time to study. But even with very limited study time, my French has improved a ton. Camille’s super patient and easy to talk to, which makes a big difference in how I feel about class. In the past, I used to feel pressured in other lessons and would end up dreading them out of fear of messing up. With Camille, it’s the opposite. The vibe is low-stress and supportive, and mistakes are just part of the process. If you’re like most people and don’t have a lot of extra time, Camille totally adapts and helps you make real progress. A year later, I still stand by what I said in my first review: if you’re scrolling through a ton of profiles and aren’t sure who to pick, go with Camille. You won’t regret it.

Camille is an amazing teacher. She's funny, patient, creative and really invested in my progress and learning experience. Her lessons are well thought and personalized to my own needs and interests. She created a great organization system to keep every note, exercise and correction nice and neat in a google doc, which makes it really easy to go back and review in between our lessons. All that (and more!) makes me look forward to every lesson :)

I’ve taken lessons with Camille for the last three months and I am always impressed by her level of preparation and thoughtfulness towards our classes. For each class, Camille finds media that is on point and challenging while still being accessible, and we discuss what I understood of it and practice truly engaging on that subject matter. I have really enjoyed this approach and find it very rewarding to see my ability to comprehend and express myself in French improve.

Camille is a wonderful teacher! We start each lesson with spontaneous conversation. She is always very friendly and encouraging, even when I struggle to find the words I want to use. After that, we focus on some specific vocab or grammar concepts that she has identified. She is very organised, and helps to structure study by keeping a record of everything in a shared Google Doc that we build together, which is really helpful for revising the lesson afterwards. She also designs personalised homeworks to reinforce key concepts in between lessons. Most importantly, she really seems to care about her students and their progress. I look forward to many more lessons with Camille :)

Camille is very helpful to correct my speaking in the moment and help me understand how to become more fluent. She is excellent at identifying what I need to work on and setting up exercises to reinforce my learning. She is also a lot of fun to speak with.

I have been taking French lessons from Camille for quite sometime now and I can confidently say she is one of the most understanding, friendly and knowledgeable tutors you could ever find. She is very organized and it is very easy to follow her lessons as well, and your learning style will be taken into consideration too, which is cherry on top, I believe!!
