Good day, and God bless you all. My name is Ron Weckessar. I am seventy years old, and well versed in a variety of subjects: language, health and nutrition, classical and ancient music, nature, hiking, survival camping, foraging for wild foods, environmentalism and ecology, chess, history, and religion. Although seven decades on this planet, I am no less active and vibrant than I was at twenty. I have no intention of retiring and playing golf, or vegetating in front of a TV set (I don't even have a TV!) I wish to stress from the outset that teaching is not merely something that I "went to school for," but a profession that I was born for. I have been a teacher for longer than most teachers have been alive. At the age of nine I was already leading the neighborhood kids on hikes through the woods, teaching them to identify the various species of reptiles and amphibians, to differentiate between the poisonous and non-poisonous snakes, and to recognize and utilize wild edible plants. A passion for preciseness and exactitude was innate, and remains characteristic of my teaching. As well do I enjoy imparting accurate knowledge, especially in regard to what is beautiful and profound.レッスン形式・教え方
I teach in a straight line, without the zigzagging that occurs at so many schools. How many students have been brought to me who are reading Cicero, yet haven't mastered the declensions! How many have come to me for help in their third year of Spanish who never learned the rules for pronunciation and accentuation --which should have been mastered in the first week of the course! Rather, I present the first lesson with precise, pinpoint explanations, inculcate it through various exercises and conversations tailored to that lesson, and do not proceed to the next lesson until the previous has been mastered. Methodicalness, perseverance, self-discipline, and diligence will guarantee success.教材
