Hello! I’m Dr. Marika, an English teacher, editor, and researcher with a PhD in English Literature from the University of Leeds. I’ve taught at several UK universities, including Leeds and Manchester Metropolitan, where I led seminars and workshops on topics such as African American literature, writing skills, and critical reading.
Alongside my academic work, I’ve been helping learners of English at all levels improve their confidence, writing, and communication—whether for study, work, or everyday life. Before we start, I take time to understand your goals—whether you want to improve academic writing, professional communication, or conversational fluency. Each lesson combines structured learning with space for reflection, practice, and authentic conversation.
I often integrate materials from literature, culture, and current events to make language learning more engaging and meaningful. For academic learners, I provide targeted guidance on writing, argumentation, and editing. For conversational learners, I focus on fluency, pronunciation, and confidence-building through real-life topics.教材
