My first lesson with Taein was great. I am a total beginner. I took the lesson because I have an upcoming interview for a job in which I would need to use some Korean. She was able to teach me a few phrases I could use in the interview. Taein also speaks some Japanese, as do I. She was able to use our shared Japanese knowledge to explain some Korean phrases in more detail. Thank you Taein!

I had a bit of a silly reason to take just a few Korean lessons — I speak zero Korean, but I wanted to learn to pronounce Kpop Demon Hunters lyrics with at least a little accuracy when my friends and I karaoke 😆. Taein was the perfect teacher for me, since she has a background in music! Very helpful for me too that she speaks a good amount of Japanese, which made explanations easier for me to understand. She’s a very sweet teacher with a good sense of humor. Recommend!

Today I had a class with Taein for the first time, and it was really comfortable and easy to have conversation together. We talked about various things but it was easy for me to follow along and she explained anything I didn't understand. It felt like talking to a friend. I made some mistakes but she was patient with me and understood anyway. Thank you Taein! :)
