こんにちは！私はアメリカ・イリノイ州シカゴ出身の、認定「第二言語としての英語（ESL）」講師です。英語教師に転身する前は、カリフォルニアの大学に2年間通っていました。International TEFL Academyから第二言語としての英語指導の認定を受けています。地元のコミュニティセンターで4か月間、第二言語としての英語を教えていました。 余暇には、絵を描いたり、かぎ針編みや編み物をしたりするのが好きです。私は英語を母語としており、スペイン語も話せます。私の動画はYouTubeのチャンネル「Jacob ESL」にもアップロードされており、どの言語にも翻訳可能です。
A1レベルの初心者からC1レベルの上級者まで指導しています。3種類の英語クラスを開講しています。
1. 正式な英語クラス：
正式な英語クラスでは、授業を行い、課題やアクティビティ、宿題を出します。
2. カジュアルな英語クラス：
このクラスでは、生徒の興味のあることについて気軽に会話します。私が用意したトピックリストから選ぶことも、生徒が興味を持った記事を取り上げることも可能です。
3. 個別指導クラス：
このクラスでは、エッセイや教科書、理解できない課題についてサポートが必要な生徒を対象に、個別指導を行います。
機会センターで教える際、授業終了までに生徒が全ての教材を理解できるよう指導しています。講義に加え、生徒が自宅で学習できる書面教材も提供しています。これは反復学習が最良の習得法だと考えているからです。初級者、中級者、上級者向けの英語指導経験があり、フラッシュカードや画像、ゲームを活用して学習を容易にしています。教材

TQUK Level 5 Certificate in TEFL - International Tefl Academy - 2026I had to complete 150 hours of course work and 20 hours of practicum work. I have continued over 80 practicum hours which is well past the required 20. I passed all 14 units, achieving a 100%.

One of the best English teachers that I've met! Jacob is a very kind, supportive and open-minded person, you feel comfortable talking to him. He asks quiestions, lets you speak, answers all your questions. Also his voice is really pleasant, which is great for this proffession I believe)

Jacob is my very first italki teacher and I still keep coming back to his lessons. With his soft manner and supportive approach, he helped me overcome the stress of 1-on-1 lessons, which was a completely new experience for me. He has a beautiful accent and a gentle voice, making everything easy to understand.
