I enjoy the lessons with Taejeong a lot! He is kind, patient, and approachable. His lessons keep me motivated to continue learning Korean. As I had already studied Korean, he had me take a level test before the first lesson. This helped him understand my level, and tailor the lessons to my skills and learning goals. His explanations of the Chinese character roots of words are extremely helpful. I will always remember the difference between 요리 and 유리, or the meaning of 도서관 and 서점 thanks to his explanations.

The tutor is wonderfully kind, professional and patient. In his first lesson, he began by gauging the level of Korean through a series of questions, which helped him identify the most suitable teaching approach and materials. I can't recommend him more highly!

Lessons have been getting more fun and more perfectly tailored to my skills, interests, and learning goals each time. 태정 선생님‘s jokes and real-life examples make it easy to remember what we've been studying, and I always end up laughing a lot. He also gives me feedback on my homework and answers messages between classes. I almost ended up canceling my first class because of how nervous I was, but his lessons are so comfortable that I am no longer worried at all before classes. It's like learning from a good friend who's always fun while also being casual and patient. Mistakes don't feel like a big deal at all, and you get extra stars if you make mistakes without getting upset or embarrassed with yourself. Every day we have a lesson ends up being a good day for me. I hope he gets plenty of lovely students, but honestly, I don't want to recommend him in case he ends up fully booked, and it becomes difficult to get classes :)

It's now been ten lessons with Teacher Taejeong, and I hope we keep studying together for many more. I am no longer nervous at all for lessons and can fully look forward to them. If you have never seen Teacher Taejeong's illustrations, you're missing out. He often draws funny but effective cartoons for vocabulary words and grammar concepts, which makes what you learned so much harder to forget. He also has a great understanding of how language works and can explain the origin of words and concepts so you really understand how everything works together, giving you a solid foundation that makes future lessons much easier to process and remember. I especially enjoy that he can teach the hanja (Chinese character) roots of many Korean words, so that you can guess the meaning of words you've never encountered before.

Since this was just the first trial lesson we had to sort out technical problems I had with my computer and the general organisation of our lessons. The teacher is extremely friendly, understanding, helpful, very well organised. I am very motivated to continue.
