My approach is centered around building confidence and creating an encouraging atmosphere where students feel comfortable expressing themselves. I believe that learning a language should be both effective and enjoyable, so I always aim to keep the lessons engaging, interactive, and aligned with each student’s personal goals. レッスン形式・教え方
私のレッスンは、リラックスして楽しく(たのしく)日本語力(にほんごりょく)を向上(こくじょう)させることを大切(たいせつ)にしています。日常会話(にちじょう)の練習(れんしゅう)に重点(じゅうてん)をおいており、実際(じっさい)のコミュニケーションこそが言語学習(げんごがくしゅう)のカギだと考えています。旅行前(りょこうまえ)に準備(じゅんび)したい方も大歓迎(だいかんげい)です。レッスンはフレキシブルで、一人一人(ひとりひとり)の目標(もくひょう)にあわせた内容(ないよう)を提供(ていきょう)します。

Rika-san's lessons are so much fun – I always look forward to them! She makes chatting and studying Japanese really enjoyable and gives super helpful feedback. As a beginner with only very basic Japanese knowledge (mostly from watching anime) to start, I definitely feel more confident (and understand more) now, and I can't wait to keep learning with her!

Rika was super fun to talk to! this was my first conversation practice class so I was nervous at first, but that quickly dissipated once we got to talking. She gave great feedback and was helpful whenever I got stuck or was confused, and she helped me feel comfortable asking questions and trying to do things with the language that I wasn't yet confident about.

This was my first lesson with Kato sensei. My lesson goal was speech practice. As I had told her, I don't have experience conversing in Japanese & despite knowing a decent amount of grammar and vocabulary, my listening comprehension is very poor. She made me feel extremely comfortable from the start. Whereas I'd normally get very nervous and draw a blank, she has a gift for distracting you from these feelings and gets you organically engaged in conversation. The 30 minutes were up in what felt like 10 minutes. This is exactly what I needed to propel me to the next level. I will definitely be booking more sessions with Kato sensei.
