Miki先生 is a very kind and supportive teacher. Today was my third lesson with her, and we are currently studying Chapter 5 of the Quartet textbook. One thing I really appreciate about her lessons is that she helps me understand the cultural context behind the readings. Sometimes, having a better understanding of Japanese culture is essential to fully understand the meaning of a passage, and Miki先生 does a great job of explaining these concepts clearly. She is also very easy and comfortable to talk to, which makes it easy to practice speaking Japanese. I especially enjoyed talking with her about my experiences with cooking in Japanese while practicing the vocabulary from this chapter. I always feel like I'm learning both Japanese and more about Japanese culture during our lessons. I highly recommend Miki先生 to anyone who wants to improve their Japanese in a comfortable and engaging environment!
