My first lesson with Yeongbin was so much fun! 😄 I learned so much! He asked about my interests and goals beforehand and incorporated them into the class. I was surprised by how much we had in common! He even asked about my MBTI, and we compared it to his. 😂 It felt like such a fun Korean cultural moment. He has a charismatic personality that instantly made me feel comfortable. Throughout the lesson, he used Korean websites and YouTube videos that helped made class feel immersive. For example, I had a question about a dialect I’d seen online. Yeongbin gave example sentences, showed me where it’s used on the map, and even shared a video of a celebrity who speaks it! In the second part of class, he explained some Korean slang I’d been confused about. It felt like talking to a friend. He explained the cultural significance behind each phrase, and we laughed so much. By the end, we made a plan for the next lesson. I highly recommend him, and I can’t wait for another class! 🥳

Today we were studying minwha painting and cultural greetings. It helped to navigate differences I may experience and understand the culture that is the heart of the society.
