Hello! My name is Joshua. I am 27 years old, from Germany, and have been living in Japan for the past nine months. I currently work as an English teacher at an after-school program in Takatsuki. I also have more than two years of teaching experience at a tutoring institute in Germany, where I mainly taught German and English. There I worked with students of different ages and levels. I also spent a year working in a kindergarten, which gave me valuable insight into early childhood education. In my free time, I enjoy doing all kinds of sports, especially boxing, yoga and jogging. I'm also an avid reader of novels and love listening to history podcasts.

教師として、生徒が安心して発言し、間違いを恐れずに学べる、リラックスした支援的な学習環境づくりを目指しています。言語学習において自信をつけることは不可欠だと考えており、皆さんがドイツ語を流暢かつ自然に話せるようになるようサポートします。私は忍耐強く、細やかな気配りを心がけ、生徒一人ひとりのレベル、興味、目標に合わせてレッスンを調整し、スムーズで楽しい学習体験を提供します。

レッスン形式・教え方

My teaching style is very communicative. I encourage students to speak as much as possible while I guide the conversation, correct mistakes and explain useful patterns along the way. I enjoy helping students notice important rules and structures. I often use repetition and guided practice to help new vocabulary and grammar become natural. While I like to base my lessons on everyday conversations, I am very flexible. If you prefer, we can also focus on other areas such as writing, reading or we could do sentence building exercises. If there is something specific you would like to learn, I will do my best to create a lesson that fits your needs.
