Hello! I’m Leon, a Chinese lecturer at a university in the United States. I teach both Mandarin Chinese and Taiwanese (Taigi), and I enjoy helping students build real communication skills while exploring culture.

My lessons are personalized, practical, and engaging. I design each class based on your goals, whether you want to improve conversation skills, conduct research, or better understand Taiwanese culture.
I focus on real-life communication, helping you use natural expressions with confidence. You’ll get plenty of speaking and listening practice, along with clear explanations to support your learning.
For Taiwanese (Taigi), I use simple and structured methods to help you understand pronunciation and sentence patterns, so you can start speaking from the beginning.
