My name is Christian. I am a 38-year-old German native living near Berlin, Germany.
I am teaching German as a foreign language for over 6 years professionally and also have a background in teaching and design. Because of this I use my own materials I created in InDesign.
When I am not teaching I spend my time honing my skills as an artist, writer and game designer, stream and continue to further educate myself about art, linguistics and other scientific fields. I also like games (PC, Tabletop-RPGs, Switch), memes, music, history, plants, films and shows, and are generally interested in many topics.

吃音で言語（特に文法）が嫌いだった私にとって、英語を上達させるために猛烈な自己学習をしたことが原点となりました。ケンブリッジ大学でC2を取得した後、2年間、地元で英語教師として働きました。
これを機に、ドイツ語の文法、音声学、教授法（ディダクティック）を集中的に勉強し、再確認してから、フルタイムでオンラインで教えるようになりました。(私はネイティブなのですが、かなり頭を振りましたね。)
このようにして、私は芸術を極めようとしていますが、私は先天的な才能は信じていません。献身的に練習し、楽しむことで、誰もが外国語を話せるようになります。 レッスン形式・教え方
While teaching I adapt the lesson to your strengths, weaknesses, and abilities and structure it along with your goals and needs. This can include exercises and materials for grammar, pronunciation, role-plays for daily conversation, job interviews, working environments and language exams (Goethe, TestDaF, Telc). I can also create new materials, exercises and additional courses on Memrise to help you to achieve your goal outside of our lessons. But due past experiences I do not teach children under the age of 17 anymore. You'll also need to have a decent level of English.
I am keeping my availability on Italki updated and block out slots where I teach a client on another platform already.教材

This was my first lesson with Christian after our trial lesson. I learned a lot today particularly regarding word order. Christian is a very good teacher. He has a lot of material that he has designed himself. He also has a great sense of humor.
