Meihui

Dear Meihui, Thank you for the 300th lesson today! In three years we have reached together a lot. 🙏🏻 I still remember our first lesson where I could not pronounce a single word using the right tones. 😂 Now we talk every time almost an hour about life, work and general topics…in Chinese! 😊 I am looking forward to our future journey together mastering Mandarin Chinese. 加油⛽️!

I’ve learnt Chinese full time over the last year and out of the 15 or so teachers I’ve had Meihui is one of, if not the best. Rather than only deliver a prescribed course, Meihui actively identified my weaknesses, and being tri-lingual herself, was able to offer effective methods to improve. Further, and I cannot stress this enough, Meihui’s patience and professionalism are unparalleled. Learning Chinese is frustrating and difficult, so being able to grapple with it at your own speed during a lesson is necessary. Not once did Meihui lose her cool at my kindergarten-level Chinese, a very refreshing experience. Meihui started every single lesson (over 100) on time and was 100% focussed throughout. Meihui is destined for teaching stardom.

三年以前我跟美惠老师学习中文很多。她帮我准备考中文考试。可能以前的课我告诉她我想学习中文因为我想告诉一个女人我喜欢她。可能美惠老师忘记了那个事情，可是那个课以后我可以告诉她。 今天我准备一个Presentation关于这本电影。美惠老师帮我介绍电影的故事和喜欢滴地方。这个电影的故事关于历史。有点难。不过我觉得用中文很好玩儿。她帮我很多。 我们也说话关于最近的天气。在日本也在中国可能有很多不好的天气。最近在我的地方下了雨很很很很很多！可怕！天气很奇诡。 今天谢谢。

I’m always grateful for having lessons with Meihui! Conversations are very interesting, I manage to learn new words every time, and progress in our textbook is always steady and nothing is skipped or left behind unexplained! 谢谢美惠！

I had a good class with 老师。 We reviewed two vocabulary words that I struggled with, and I got to practice using them. I look forward to watching the Chinese drama that she recommended and having a conversation with her after. Thank you for the class, and see you next time! :)

The teacher was extremely accommodative today as we joined a bit late and she extended the session at out request. She is very good at her language skills. We are very happy with teacher’s style of teaching.
