I have had many teachers on Italki (and in real life), and Audrey Ma is one of the best. She always comes prepared with topics, materials, and even textbooks. She makes herself available outside of class to go over my homework or answer questions. During class, she is warm, engaging, and so so helpful in explaining Chinese grammar and vocabulary. Our lessons fly by because they are so fun! I can’t recommend Audrey as a teacher more, and I love learning Chinese with her! I have already studied with her for 3 years and hope to for many more :)

My 9 year old son has been taking Chinese lessons with Teacher Ma for about a month now and his vocabulary is growing really fast. She is a very patient teacher and makes sure to use vocabulary that is relevant and useful. She is also very good at making sure that his pronounciation is correct and knows how to keep him on task. I am confident that he can acquire great language skills this way.

Audrey 老师 is a fantastic Chinese teacher. In just one month of taking lessons with her, my Chinese conversation skills and my confidence has improved so much! Her lessons are structured and she will target the content to your level. We do a mixture of conversation practice and then new grammar. Most importantly for me, Audrey tailors her use of vocabulary to your level so it’s an achievable level of learning - not information overload! As a beginner learner, this has been crucial and is something I have struggled with in past italki teachers. Audrey will also tailor the topics so conversation practice will be relevant to your own life and useful for everyday life (like your family members, hobbies and holidays).
