Julia

Julia is the best. I've been studying with her for three years and I am able to have pretty complex conversations with her in Mandarin. She is kind and funny, and I am so grateful to her for her patience and good humor. I could not have hoped for a better teacher, and I look forward to many more chats. Thank you, Julia!!!

[English / 日本語↓↓] I started taking Julia's classes at the end of November 2021. At times I was taking her classes daily up to two hours and after over a year, I am still taking her classes regularly. We have done so many things together: grammar & workbook, translation (Jp → Ch), text correction, serious conversations as well as funny gossiping. As a teacher, she is amazingly professional and helpful, as a person, she has such a lovely personality. Spending more than a year with her made me realize that she is not only a language teacher but also a dear friend, whom I admire and respect. 2021年11月末に初めてJulia先生のレッスンを受けさせていただいてから、もう一年以上が経ちました。何ヶ月にも渡り、ほぼ毎日、日によっては二時間中国語を教えてもらいました。今でも定期的にレッスンの予定を入れています。今まで本当に色んな事を一緒にして来ました：文法＆教科書、翻訳（日本語→中国語）、短文の修正、複雑な会話や面白い世間話。Julia先生は先生としては無論プロ級、一人の人間としては本当に尊敬できる存在だと常に思っています。Julia先生と一緒に過ごした時間、中国語の先生としてだけではなく大事な友達としても、本当に尊敬と感謝の気持ちでいっぱいです。

My chats with Julia continue to be a highlight of my week. I've been studying with Julia for about three years (maybe a little more?) and I have gone from nihao to being able to have conversations about current events and life plans and whatever we're in the mood to chat about. She is patient and fun, and corrects just enough so that the learning continues but not so much that the conversation derails. 一如既往，感謝你精彩的聊天！

Classes with Julia are always incredible. 😊 She is enthusiastic, engaged, helpful, patient, and supportive.

Julia's classes are specially good, her teaching style is very organized, and she keeps the class going and adjusts the conversations to the class topic and appropriate levels. Julia also shares notes in traditional, simplified, pinyin and English which are great for reviewing. Julia's teaching method is one of the best I've ever seen.

A fantastic lesson! Julia is a great teacher, it is a real pleasure to study with her. She is very patient, observant, provides great examples and complementary vocabulary, answers questions, lets you speak and take your time, adjusts very well to your pace, ability and study objectives. I could not have chosen a better teacher!
