Hello, I’m Momo! I was born and raised in Japan, I currently live in Australia and also used to live in San Francisco. I love traveling the world, experiencing new cultures, working out, surfing and meeting new people.
My class is a fun and safe environment to learn and make mistakes. Above all I want to create a high energy and productive classroom environment that suits your needs and caters to your ability level. • I have been teaching Japanese language and culture classes since 2013, ranging from Beginner to Advance levels.
• Many of my students start with no Japanese language knowledge, so no experience is necessary!
• My class is a fun and safe environment to learn and make mistakes.

• Conversational language skills (formal and informal).
• Implementing Japanese text books (I can provide Genki Textbook or we can use your own).
• Reading comprehension and writing skills (Hiragana, Katakana and Kanji).
Post Lesson Support
• If you have any questions after a lesson, you can always message me.
• I also provide notes throughout each lesson for your reference to improve your Japanese language skills after the lesson is done.
• If desired, I can provide homework assignments and tests for you.

Another fantastic lesson with Momo-san! I always get plenty of listening and speaking practice in her lessons without fear of making mistakes or being judge. We laugh together when I mix up words or get expressions wrong. Momo-san is always patient and easy to talk to no matter what the subject. We always chat about anything and everything. I would highly recommend anyone who's starting out learning Japanese or an advance speaker to try taking lessons from her.

After today's lesson I thought about how much progress I have already made so far. Before I was too nervous when speaking and had problems expressing myself in Japanese, but now I have learned to relax. Now with Momo's corrections, advice and encouragement, I am learning how to speak naturally in Japanese. ありがとうございました！

WOW. What an eye-opener! I really appreciated Momo's help in navigating how to better interact with my Japanese in-laws! She went into details on customs, greetings and tips on how to impress them! As helpful as her language lessons were, I think this was incredibly helpful in a different way!

I had a great first lesson with Momo Sensei and immediately booked the next one :) She quickly figured out my Japanese language level and tailored the conversation to that, using mostly words that I could understand but sprinkling some new ones throughout the conversation, too. I'm excited to continue lessons!

Momo-san has a really friendly and attentive personality. Her teaching style also allows for her students to feel safe and confident in speaking Japanese, as well as listening to Japanese being spoken. I would recommend studying Japanese with Momo-san!
