IELTS Train the Trainer - British Council, Kolkata - 2016I attended an 18-hour workshop under the IELTS Train the Trainer program organised by the British Council, Kolkata. It was in an intensive workshop that thoroughly versed me with the salient features of providing Exam Prep training to students, including techniques and resources. This enables me to train students for IELTS and other exams like SAT, GRE and GMAT. I also have a First-Class Master's Degree in English. Hence, I believe I am qualified to teach students for Exam Prep.

Kusumika is an extremely good teacher and I am very lucky to have her as my tutor. She very frequently tailors lesson to focus on things I am struggling with. She is supportive when I make mistakes but firm that they need to be corrected. Overall a very good teacher and I have learned more in a dozen lessons with her than I did in a whole year of taking Spanish in school.

Kusumika's class focuses on practical aspects of communicating in Bengali. She has both prepared materials such as slides with clear grammatical instruction, as well as a focus on conversation. She helps me figure out how to say what I actually want to say. It's very helpful and she is very patient.
