Mina Taguchi

I always feel super good after taking a class with Mina Sensei! Her enthusiasm is definitely contagious and she always helps to make class feel fun but productive at the same time.

It is a great teacher that leaves the student wanting to keep talking even at the end of a two hour lesson - amazing. Obviously, for a still poor student such as myself, I ended the lesson with that most valuable of language learning assets: increased confidence - thank you !!

Mina is always prepared ! She’s great at giving examples and makes you feel confident and safe when you speak!😍

I am really enjoying these lessons with Mina-san. I am getting a lot of good conversation practice, which I really need, since I struggle to express myself in Japanese. Mina-san is an excellent teacher!

I have just completed my first 8 lessons with Mina-sensei and here are a few thoughts. Mina-sensei is a wonderful, patient and dedicated teacher. Her lessons are not only fun and informative but also take place in a safe and encouraging environment. She keeps conversations fluid with well timed prompts and a good sense of humour. Through engaging conversations and thoughtful exercises, she has helped to broaden my vocabulary and deepen my understanding – I find myself thinking about the in-class exercises long after the lessons are over. A couple of months ago, I could never have imagined being able to read and write at any level of Japanese. Summoning the courage to start lessons was the first obstacle followed by the search for the right teacher. In this regard, I feel very fortunate to have commenced my journey with Mina-sensei. I encourage anyone thinking about it, to throw caution to the wind, have a trial lesson and see for yourself.
