Hi, I'm Michela, an Italian Language teacher with DITALS certification. I'm a native speaker living near Florence. In 2008, after a degree in Modern Literature, I earned a PhD in Cultural Anthropology in Paris and Siena followed by research and teaching in Italian universities on the role of food in culture. Since 2009, I've been giving Italian Language and Culture courses to adults, including managers, asylum seekers and university students. I offer courses for any level and Language Certification - like CILS, CELI and the new B1 level test for obtaining the italian citizenship - or interest whether tourism, work, study or simply a passion for the language.レッスンおよびティーチングスタイル
All courses will be tailored to your specific needs. I use to share a googledoc to take notes during the classes and a google-drive folder to collect all the course materials. For Certifications specific classes and materials will be provided. Classes can emphasize conversation, vocabulary, written Italian for academic and professional use. For those tourists, students or professionals focusing on the food and wine sector, I am especially qualified to teach specific courses.教材

Michela was very prepared for our first class. I got homework for the next lesson, and I feel like she is taking care that I don't have any holes in my knowledge. She did a great job of correcting my pronunciation and also writing down words and phrases in the chat. thank you!

Michela was very good at determining my comprehension level early in the lesson. She then tailored the rest of the lesson to my abiity. She made the lesson rewarding (and fun) with just enough of a challenge to instill in me a sense of accomplishment. Very happy with her professionalism and teaching style.

Just as the weeks are flying by, so do our lessons. This week after talking about many subjects from pole dancing to visiting the lake district, we finally had just enough time to discuss the homework I had done.
We have been looking at dialects, especially the Tuscan dialect and its influence on the Italian language. I am slowly starting to recognise the different dialects, even though I do not always understand the spoken words!
I have said this before a few times, but learning the language with Michela is more than a lesson in learning how to speak the language, but also a lesson in Italian culture, and it is these lessons that has created my love of all things Italian, from the food, the culture, the places as well as the history of Italy.
