Hi everyone! My name is Petra, I'm a graduate from Leiden University and I'm passionate about foreign languages, culture, history, art and nature! I'm a native Dutch speaker, have native fluency in English and I can also speak French and German. In my free time, I enjoy reading a good book, going for a hike or a ride on my bicycle. I am also passionate about travelling and have visited China, Iceland, Albania, the Czech Republic, Scotland, England, Germany, Belgium, Ireland, France, Switzerland, Turkey and Italy.

I started teaching in 2009, when I began tutoring Dutch teenagers who needed some help with their Dutch, English, German or French lessons. In 2017, I decided it was time to broaden my horizons and start working for Italki. I hold a Master's Degree in Educational Science. Aside from teaching on Italki, I also have experience as a classroom teacher at an international school. I believe that learning should be fun and motivating, so I will do my best to make sure my classes are fun and engaging!レッスンおよびティーチングスタイル
I can offer both informal conversation practice and structured classes, to both beginners and advanced learners. I mainly work with online learning materials, such as an online workbook, videos, pictures, articles and short texts, songs, grammar exercises and mock exams. During the classes, I will work with a variety of topics and tools so that learning will never get boring and you'll get plenty of practice. Since I believe the learning process should be student-centered, I will adapt my classes to your level, pace, and interests.

Petra is doing a really great job with preparation to the inburgering exams. Very practical and efficient. Just scored 9 out of 10 for my writing exam, without having any real language practice at work or at home, only after taking these lessons. Can highly recommend Petra.
