Mikhail Grammar Guru

We talked about home renovations, Chinese hieroglyphs, and the difference between dawn and sunrise. At the end of the lesson, Mikhail was talking about the Silk Road and European history, which was interesting to me even though I dislike history, and I have to wait till the next lesson to continue our discussion. Ой блин

Mikhail is an excellent tutor. I had trial lessons with 5 different teachers before deciding to continue with him. He was by far the most fun. He's very engaging and encouraging and has a great sense of humor. He's also very good at pacing the lessons to meet your needs and he provides all materials necessary (pdf textbooks, podcasts, memrise, etc). I highly recommend having classes with him.

Mikhail is the best teacher, he always goes above and beyond and is really fun to work with. 11/10 recommend!

Cannot recommend Mikhail highly enough! Absolutely fantastic teacher! I've taken a number of lessons with him now, but was really nervous at first....I took Russian 20+ years ago in college and am close to a beginner once again...he set me entirely at ease and established a comfortable environment where I wasn't nervous about trying, speaking and making mistakes. Lessons are always interesting, fly by, and quite fun. Mikhail explains complex ideas beautifully, and makes Russian so much more approachable than I remember from my looong ago university courses. I honestly think I just got by with rote memorization in college and never actually learned countless important concepts....and I am finally, at long last understanding them, thanks to Mikhail. If you're looking for an Excellent, approachable teacher who puts you at ease, and makes learning fun and satisfying, look no further!

Mikhail and I have been reading Pushkin's "Pikovaja dama" for a few weeks. We're working slowly because the text has spawned a lot of interesting commentary based on its lexical usage and grammatical peculiarities. Mikhail always has excellent insights into the literary work. He is a great teacher whom I highly recommend.

Mikhail is an encouraging, friendly instructor who does an excellent job of creating a relaxed learning environment. I would definitely recommend him to anyone interested in finding a teacher with a profound knowledge of Russian structure.
