Hello, everyone! I'm Naoko. I have been teaching Japanese for 10 years, offering both in-person and online one-on-one lessons. I create personalized learning plans tailored to each student’s needs and adjust the lessons based on their progress. I completed the studies for the 420-hour Advanced Japanese Teacher Training Course in 2013 and started my Japanese classroom in Upstate NY. I specialize mainly in teaching Business Japanese and JLPT test preparation. It takes a long time to become fluent in everyday Japanese conversation, even for those who have learned basic grammar. I teach elementary to advanced-level Japanese for adults and offer lessons focused on conversation, grammar, reading, and writing. Even if your goal is to become fluent in Japanese, I always teach all areas of study at the same time The reason is that they are all essential skills for communicating in Japanese. Some students speak Japanese only by listening to sounds, but their friends and colleagues who exchange e-mails will spend a lot of time reading their sentences, which are all in romaji, and will not be able to communicate smoothly. I’ve spent a whole year with naoko and thanks to her i’m Going to Japan to study. She’s great and a wonderful person. Instead of saying that she helped me in japanese (that of course she did, and did it great) i would rather say that she has been my life coach and my friend, a real (and rare to find) sensei. We laughed, we enjoyed, we exchanged opinions and cultural aspects of our life and that was awesome. I can’t thank her enough for everything she did.

I think it has been my 49th lesson with Naoko-san, and I must admit that throughout this time my Japanese has improved immensely (from level absolute 0 to N3!). Not only was I able to communicate on my trip to Japan, but also I am preparing for the JLPT N3 with this wonderful teacher. Whatever your objective in studying Japanese is, you don't need to look any further. I am looking forward to our next lesson!
