Hola. I am Fernanda. I was born in Argentina, and I live in Melbourne, Australia. I am an English - Spanish Translator and a Spanish as a Second Language Teacher. I really enjoy my job as a Spanish Tutor. That's what I do for a living. Our classes are going to be fun, and we are also going to focus on your progressive learning of Spanish. Some of my favorite topics to talk about are pets (I have a lovely dog), reading (one of the translation areas I am specialized in is literary translation), travelling and food. But, of course, we can talk about any other topics you might be interested in.

I have worked as a translator for many years in Argentina. I was decided to start a new path in Australia, and I knew it would work. And it did! I exclusively work as a Spanish tutor. I deliver one-on-one classes, and I also teach Spanish to children at a Language School. I have always felt motivated to teach. As a Spanish as a Second Language Teacher and a Translator, I am able to understand specific issues that my students may encounter when trying to compare their mother tongue with the language they learn. I have three university degrees: two of them correspond to translation studies (I am a sworn, technical-scientific and literary translator) and the third one is Spanish Teacher.

レッスン形式・教え方

My teaching methodology is based on the Communicative Method and the Lexical approach. After experiencing, reading and studying several methods of teaching, I am convinced that students find it more difficult to find the exact words they need to use in a certain context, rather than the correct use of grammar. Personally, I focus on how students can easily communicate, and this is directly related to conversation and vocabulary. The main purpose is to communicate ideas, to find the way to convey a meaning. Grammar is also important, but communication is the first step.

Fernanda is an excellent instructor. Her lessons are very engaging. She makes learning fun and stress free because you feel as if you are speaking to a friend. She is very organized, and it is obvious she is passionate about her student’s learning experience.
