Hello, my name is Yumiko! I’m a native Japanese speaker. I was born in Beppu, Kyusyu in Japan and now I live in Osaka. It's been 4 years since I became a italki teacher. I'm really enjoying talking with people who have different backgrounds regardless of their age or gender. Let's talk about anything you want in our lesson! I have experience teaching kids, so I’m aware of the struggles that language learners can experience. It doesn’t matter what level of Japanese you have, as I can also help you in English if you prefer, even though I'm not quite fluent in English yet though. I thoroughly enjoy teaching, so let's have fun learning together!
私は子どもの英語の先生の経験があるので、生徒さんが何で苦労しているのか分かります。日本語のレベルは関係ありませんので、ご希望があれば英語を使いながら日本語を教えることも可能です。英語がそんなに上手ではないですが、教えることが好きなので一緒に楽しみながら学びましょう！レッスンおよびティーチングスタイル
In my lessons, I am totally open to students' requests. I mainly focus on conversation, using either textbooks or topics for discussion. You can also use your own textbooks or materials if you prefer. I organize our lessons flexibly. I have Japanese textbooks available, such as Genki 2nd edition and Minna no Nihongo. If you have any questions, feel free to ask!

With Yumiko's help, I'm able to read written stories at an N4 level, 4 months after starting to learn Japanese. She even wrote out the story in hiragana afterwards. An amazing teacher, definitely the best I've had on Italki.
