I’ve been studying with Jamie for 3 months now and my Korean has improved so much in that time! I went from barely being able to say anything to being able to speak simple sentences. She focuses on pronunciation a lot and gave me really helpful tips that I haven’t heard anywhere else. Her lessons are engaging and she explains new concepts very well. I’m so happy I found such a wonderful teacher!

As an educator by profession, and a long-term student with Teacher Jamie for over 5 years now, I can say with conviction that she is the BEST teacher one could possibly have. She has played a pivotal role in my learning journey and showed me what it means to be genuinely committed to helping students excel. The level of dedication to her job is truly unparalleled. When I just have a conversation-based lesson with Jamie like today, I just feel like I'm talking to a friend and always wish I could speak Korean better, which gives me more motivation to learn. I love that our conversations are very organic and feel like an actual person-to-person communication, but at the same time, she makes sure to explain where I can improve and could have used better expressions or correct grammar afterwards. I enjoy all types of lessons with her - whether it's conversation-based or with some materials, such as videos, articles and her own materials, as she effectively employs now and then. There are always so much to learn and is fun, regardless of what we do. Thanks Jamie, and I look forward to our next lesson, as always!

Here’s the gist: if you’re considering Jamie as your Korean teacher, trust me and go for it. As a Korean American, I’m one of the most difficult types of students for Korean teachers because of my weak foundation and long-standing bad habits in pronunciation and grammar. Despite this, Jamie has helped me improve my Korean enormously. After meeting about once a week for a few months, I spoke with some Korean relatives, and they immediately made a big deal about how much better my Korean had gotten. Huge thanks to Jamie for keeping lessons fun and engaging and for keeping my spirits up, even when my head is low and I feel like giving up. The road from intermediate to advanced feels endless, but with Jamie’s help, I’m confident I’ll make it there one day.
