なおと Naoto

なおとさん　is an amazing teacher. Very thorough in his explanations. Provides lots of examples. And makes sure you understand topic/subject before moving along. He makes my journey learning Japanese fun and is encouraging in the midst of my mistakes. And this lesson I've never felt more confident. Just an awesome teacher!!!

You will never find a teacher who focuses on his students and lessons. Naoto is very patient and attentive. I had lessons with Naoto for more than one year and have seen that he does his best in every lesson. I believe you can learn a language the most effectively when you have a very closed role that constantly talks to you in that language with the patient. Naoto is the perfect role for that. He shows that he enjoys conversations with me so that I could use expressions as much as I can, although it could be too simple for him because we use only easier words. He explains difficult concepts very easily as well. Thank you, Naoto!

I just finished my first lesson with Naoto-sensei, which was also my first experience on italki! I was a little more than nervous going into the lesson, but Naoto-sensei made the experience very enjoyable and created a supportive environment that encouraged growth, even through all my mistakes. We began by introducing ourselves, and then Naoto-sensei evaluated my speaking abilities through a relaxed and stress-free, practical conversation. Following that, we started working through the GENKI I textbook, covering vocabulary, dialogue, and grammar. Throughout the lesson, he ensured my understanding and provided opportunities for me to practice what I learned through various examples. He was attentive, encouraging, and took notes on areas for me to practice and questions I had throughout. Thank you for a great first lesson!
