My interest is in starting a dialogue between cultures. I love travel, history, art, and trying new cuisines! I’m genuinely interested in communicating and exchanging ideas, which is the essence of language learning. I am from the USA but have previously lived in Germany, England, Peru, and China—all experiences that I have found both thrilling and enlightening. I have lived on 4 continents and counting. My passion for learning about other cultures has led me to a career in teaching around the world and I’ve never looked back. Before this, I worked for a small consulting firm that specializes in globally distributed teams in large multinational companies. My job consisted of co-facilitating workshops on concepts of workplace dynamics and cross-cultural communication to those who are unfamiliar with them. There was, of course, a strong pedagogical component. The aspect of my job I enjoyed most was dealing with different cultures in international business.レッスン形式・教え方
I have taught classes of all age groups, from absolute beginner to advanced, in general and business English as well as in subjects ranging from art and history to business etiquette. What sets me apart as a teacher is my ability to empathize with my students and really assess their understanding. My classes are engaging and speaking intensive. I was awarded “Best Teacher” at my position in Peru and have always been popular amongst my students. Perhaps my greatest strength in my jobs has always been that I really get to know and form a bond with my students or clients, which I think is one of the most vital skills needed to thrive as a teacher.教材
