Shinnie is a very good teacher. He will make sure to do anything to make sure you improve and don’t regress. His strategies are very good and very simple which makes learning Korean very easy. He will always give you honest feedback unlike all other teachers that won’t give honest feedback and instead they lie to you and praise you even when you suck at Korean this is because they want your money however Shinnie doesn’t lie and praise you when you do bad he only praises you if you really are good. Over 4 Months of Learning with him I rarely got praised by him but when he praised me I knew I did well. Over 4 Months of learning with Shinnie my Korean improved a lot, now I could start talking basic conversation with Koreans easily previously before I took Shinnie’s class I couldn’t even talk a simple conversation even though I learned for 3 Months using YouTube. Using YouTube It took me 1 Month to learn Hangul which will only take you about 3 days or even one day if you have Shinnie.

I have been having lessons with Shinne for a year now. Shinnie is patient, respectful and passionate about his students learning. When I thought I wasn’t progressing he showed me how much I have learned and helped restore my confidence. Shinnie has taught me how to study successfully again using his proven methods and my self-confidence has grown. I know Shinnnie teaches people with ADHD, stuttering, mental illnesses, and disabilities as I have some of these conditions. However, he has never discriminated against me and has been truly dedicated to my Korean learning. I have tried learning with other Korean teachers who have given me false compliments which I did not find productive. Shinnie has helpfully pointed out attitudes or habits that have hindered my progress and he is always honest about my skills and goals. You can trust him and just follow his guidance—without overthinking or false delusions. Shinnie is an excellent, top rate teacher. If I can do it, you can too.

He's firm when it comes to having the right approach to lessons and study, because he's truly committed to my success, but gentle when I feel nervous or overwhelmed and helps me simplify the process and focus on the right things when it feels like too much. Every lesson feels like comfortably talking to a friend, yet he interjects new grammar patterns and vocabulary, as well as reinforcement of everything we learn, seamlessly. Shinnie's lessons and unique method for studying truly feel like the most natural way to acquire a language, without stress or blind memorization. 감사합니다 선생님!

You will learn so much in the lessons but Shinnie is, also, very good at pointing you in the right direction of what to study after the lesson. Would recommend him as a teacher to anyone looking to learn Korean!

I wholeheartedly recommend classes with Shinnie to anyone serious about leveling up their Korean. After learning some very essential grammar concepts from Shinnie I started wondering - How did I study Korean for years and years without ever learning this before? Did I forget it all? I was so perplexed by this that I even went back and checked all my prior notes and textbooks and saw that it wasn’t there at all. It became clear that this was a Shinnie-specific strategy not covered in popular websites and books, despite being so fundamental to learning Korean. Shinnie uses a totally different approach from all the rest and it has been a huge help!
