I began lessons with Raciel knowing only light vocabulary words and key phrases. In 40 lessons of working with him, I can now communicate independently and feel prepared to go live in Mexico and receive further schooling there.
I have learning disabilities with language and Raciel is a very kind, patient, and encouraging tutor. It is obvious he is not only passionate about the Spanish language itself but also teaching and sharing his language and culture with others.
He strikes the perfect balance between pushing me to improve and giving the support I need to get there. Every lesson felt purposeful, and I felt stronger and more confident speaking each lesson. When he would notice I was having anxiety or issues he was quick to notice, explain, and slow down in the way that was best for me.
If you want a tutor who truly tailors each lesson to YOU, your personality, your level, and your interests, Raciel is that guy.
I truly could not recommend him more highly.

Raciel is an excellent Spanish teacher. He understands the parts of speech very well and knows how to explain them (we converse in Spanish; however, I believe he could teach a relative beginner). He is a good conversationalist and has a good grasp of what my needs are. He has been my teacher for 5 months and I highly recommend him!

Raciel is an excellent teacher, and his experience shows. He is incredibly patient and thorough, and takes the time to explain grammar and answer all of my questions. I'm pretty much an absolute beginner, and his classes offer structure with plenty of time for me to practice speaking, with homework to practice writing/reading. He is so kind even when I feel like my brain is overloaded and I make a bunch of mistakes. I highly recommend taking a class with him if you seriously want to learn Spanish and make progress, no matter what your current level is!
