Chuan 串

We had our sixth lesson with Chuan today. It's a lot of fun and the time flies by. We learn letters and words with Mandarin Blueprint, an online course, and use our lessons with Chuan to practise speaking and understanding. It gets easier every time and if we don't understand something or are missing words, Chuan helps us by pointing, miming or writing them down. At the end of each lesson, we receive a script with the content discussed and homework to revise. We always look forward to the next lesson.

It is so hard to believe that in just 3 months I have been able to make such great progress. Every lesson with Chuan gives me more and more vocabulary and confidence in not only creating sentences, but now speaking them with a rhythm.... rather than the painful one word pause, one word pause sentences...

I’ve just had my first class with 串串，I’ve enjoyed it a lot and was really impressed in the end of the lesson with the google document she shared with me - she took a lot of notes on my speech and then explained me carefully all of my major mistakes as well as highlighted new words ! It’s incredible how did she manage to do all this while listening me attentively (I could feel it), engaging actively in our conversation✨

After many lessons with Chuan, my Chinese learning skyrocketed. Like any beginner, I came in having poor pronunciation, knew only a few characters, and could speak only on basic terms. But now we finished reading two different books without pinyin while also discussing the content in Chinese. Last lesson were even able to talk about people's different views in life. It's unbelievable how much I have achieved with Chuan老师 help and I'm very excited to reach fluency with her guidance.

Since taking lessons with Chuan, our ability to speak Chinese has improved enormously. In our first lesson, we just stared at the screen and couldn't get a few words out. But Chuan's easy-going manner has quickly brought us out of our paralysis and we are now able to hold conversations. We always look forward to lessons with her because they are always great fun and we learn a lot.
