Andrea Olvera

Andrea makes for a amazing Spanish teacher. We always talk about interesting topics because she is great at guiding the conversation. She's also extremely relaxed as a tutor. You could talk about any topic and she will stay engaged, even if it is out of her area of expertise. She is fluent in English, so you can easily ask her for help when you need it. During the lesson, she will provide corrections and vocabulary/grammar suggestions to help you improve as quickly as possible. I'd say to bring a notebook for all the suggestions but Andrea keeps notes of every one of them, making it easy to review after each lesson. I recommend her as your new teacher, especially if you are looking for someone who is extremely knowledgeable in Sociology, Anthropology, and History.

Andrea is a great teacher! She's very patient and also engaging when presenting new material. She is good about listening to my goals and catering our lessons toward them. Highly recommend!

Andrea's classes have been very helpful for my learning of Spanish. She is diligent about offering corrections to my vocabulary and grammar and letting me know when there are ways that I could say something in a manner that is more natural. She describes nuances of phrasing and vocabulary clearly. Through our conversations, I also learn some regarding current events and life in Mexico City. I always enjoy our classes.

I love Andrea! She is patient and knowledgeable, makes class fun, and will adjust to any student's needs. Andrea is expertly fluent in English, so no matter your level, even if you don't know a single Spanish word, you will have her from day one. And, if you're interested in conversation practice, she has a variety of wide-ranging interests and can converse on any topic. If you give her class a try, you will not regret it.

I have enjoyed taking classes with Andrea for several months now. She is very thorough in offering corrections and not ignoring them or letting them slip by, which is one thing that is very important to me. She is helpful in explaining details and small differences between similar words and providing examples of context for different uses of words and phrases. I learn something useful from each lesson and she encourages me to practice our topics in between lessons as well.

I take a trial class of 30 minutes with her and I am not sure why we are spending so much time on her self introduction
