Learning a new language, especially one as intricate as Khmer, is no small feat. Yet, under the guidance of Termizi, my journey into the Cambodian alphabet has been nothing short of transformative. Termizi stands out not just for his deep understanding of the language but also for his methodical and precise teaching approach. He has an exceptional ability to make complex concepts seem simple and accessible, ensuring that I could read and write in the Cambodian alphabet far quicker than I had anticipated. Termizi is not just an extraordinary teacher; he is also an incredible person. In summary, Termizi is an outstanding teacher whose expertise, kindness, and dedication have not only taught me a new language but have also given me a deeper appreciation for Cambodian culture. Any student would be fortunate to have him as a guide on their language learning journey.

I am really enjoying my lessons with Ter. His fluent knowledge of so many languages gives him a unique understanding of the language learning process plus he is patient and always willing to adapt the lesson to my needs.

Termizi is one of the best teachers for Thai. I also had a demo Malay lesson with him and I think he is also one of the best teachers for Malay. Termizi uses interactive method for learning rather than the traditional method of using textbooks to learn. He uses day-to-day vocabularies and encourages the students to create sentences. In this way, teh student can learn the language faster than the traditional method. I am looking forward to learn Thai and Malay with him and I am definitely confident that I will speak these languages fluently in less than a year. I highly recommend Termizi for students who want to learn Thai/Malay.

Dr Termizi is an unusually gifted teacher, being able to teach three very different languages, Malay, Thai and Cambodian. He is tutoring me in Malay. I have already been learning Indonesian for 4 years with Indonesian tutors and was curious about the differences between Indonesian and Malay. Dr Termizi has been an excellent guide in this regard, and his own passionate interest in languages brings an extra luster to our interactions. It’s very interesting having conversation classes with someone who is sophisticated and cosmopolitan, he brings layers of experience that others may not possess.
