Greetings! My name is Diane and I am offering English lessons to adults ages 17 and up. I have nine years of teaching experience which includes both live classroom and online experience. My twenty years as a designer spans across a variety of sectors including IT/cybersecurity, finance, marketing, and eLearning. I also spent ten years in medical office administration where I performed medical transcription. I completed my CELTA in 2014 and I have a BS degree in business administration from Robert Morris College. Since 2015, I have been teaching ESL at my local library where I plan/deliver individual and small group lessons to improve students’ English language skills and understanding of American history/civics through reading, writing, vocabulary building, and class discussion. From March through December 2018, I delivered general and business English lessons to adult students online for Web International. During our first meeting, we’ll discuss what kinds of lessons you’d enjoy the most. Some options include reading current-event news stories, completing grammar-intensive worksheets, and general conversation (be sure to come prepared with some topics that interest you).
