I live in the Philippines, known as the Pearl of the Orient Seas. I am a pure Filipina and a Licensed Professional Teacher. I have been teaching for seven years in a public school and almost 5 years here in Italki. I have always been fascinated by languages and cultures. My journey with language learning has taken me to gain years of teaching experience. These experiences have not only enriched my capabilities but have also shaped my approach to teaching Tagalog, especially here in the Italki platform where I was able to build an effective learning environment with my students from different countries and receive positive feedback from them. I can describe myself as a friendly, helpful, patient, and knowledgeable person. I am also enthusiastic and respectful. As I mentioned, I have years of teaching experience both from a public school and here in Italki. I want my students to learn and have fun at the same time. Thus, I promise to be as effective and efficient as possible. My goal is to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment where everyone feels valued and respected. Whether you are a beginner or a more advanced learner, I am here to support you every step of the way. My teaching style can be described as informative, interactive, and supportive. I assure you that my lessons are easy to grasp and understand. I also prioritize a learner-centered approach to improve the collaboration skills in our class. Together, we will explore the Tagalog language, from grammar and vocabulary to pronunciation and communication skills. But more than just mastering the language, our goal is to build confidence and fluency so that you can express yourselves confidently in any situation.
Remember, every opportunity to use Tagalog is an opportunity to grow and improve. I am here to help you reach your language learning goals and to celebrate your successes along the way.教材

Sally is an excellent professional teacher. I’m not saying this lightly. She is truly a really good teacher. Her classes are well structured, well organised, and done confidently without wasting any time. The classes are packed with knowledge of grammar and plenty of practice. She covers twice the amount of material as other teachers in the same amount of time. She also has incredible patience to repeat the same sentence or words many times and she gives lots of examples.
I have had over 3000 classes on italki with many teachers and have experience in the field of education, so I know how good Sally is. Without a doubt I can highly recommend her for anyone learning Tagalog.

Sally is an incredibly patient and enthusiastic teacher. I've learned so much with her! You will be able to speak Tagalog after taking her classes, sometimes without you realizing how much you've learned until you start understanding your in laws without thinking about it... haha:) After her classes, I always walk away feeling refreshed & excited and like I've unlocked more pieces of the Tagalog puzzle. Really great first class! I appreciated the use of the PowerPoint and directions to repeat newly learned phrases. The structure of the lesson was very much like learning in a classroom, which I prefer when studying languages. It seemed like Sally had a plan/goal for the lesson after quickly deducing my language proficiency, and I feel assured that I could learn more from her.
