My name is Annemarie and I currently live in Johannesburg, South Africa. I have around 23 years of general teaching experience as well as 5 years as an Italki Conversational language teacher. My hobbies include hiking, reading and watching good films. I have been married for 49 years and I have two children as well as two grandchildren. I am passionate about my work and it gives me such joy to assist my students to speak English or Afrikaans fluently. I have taught over 1 400 lessons on Italki and still love my work!翻訳を表示する

I would describe my teaching style as very interactive. I prefer to create a teaching environment that encourages critical thinking and elicits responses from my students rather than having them merely retain and repeat information. I make use of different websites and encourage my students to read to improve both vocabulary and fluency. And then: revise, revise, revise!レッスン形式・教え方
My lessons are tailor made to suite the individual needs of my students. My lessons are interactive and inclusive and I use a conversational approach rather than a lecturing approach, depending on the interests and goals of my students. I think that I have an edge because, after a lesson where grammar was included, I usually do an audio version of the lesson materials so that my students have the correct pronunciation on their WhatsApp profiles on their mobile phones. This is very handy for revision work! Having taught for more than 26 years I have a vast array of experience and methodology to implement, depending on the lesson requirements.教材
