I am a professional Japanese teacher living in Osaka and I've been teaching on italki since 2020. I've also been teaching local Japanese children English for 30 years. I like playing tennis, watching dramas and movies. Also I love traveling. I've visited many places and love to learn different cultures. If you're looking for a friendly, patient, and knowledgeable Japanese teacher, I'm here to help you. In the General Japanese Course for Beginners, you can systematically learn vocabulary and grammar step by step. I believe that strong foundation is very important for learners. My lesson is based on the textbook "Minna no Nihongo" but I create original worksheets for students. So students do not need the textbook during my lessons and these worksheets will give you many chances to practice speaking. I offer vocabulary list and PDF of the worksheets before or after each lesson. In the free conversation lesson. We'll talk about whatever you like in Japanese. I will correct your pronunciation and grammar if needed. Let's enjoy learning Japanese with me.

As a new Japanese learner, Keiko sensei's lessons are excellent! The lessons are well structured and she provides you the material to practice outside of class. She is encouraging and her teaching style is effective for me because she builds on grammar/vocabulary during the lesson and allows me to practice speaking a lot. I've been very happy so far with my lessons, and I would highly recommend Keiko sensei if you want to learn Japanese.

Keiko made me feel immediately at ease. I look forward to reviewing my prior Japanese learning before an upcoming trip.
