Hi, I'm a certified Japanese teacher for both kids and adults.
With over 22 years of experience teaching English to children and working as a pastry chef, I now also teach Japanese at a language school.
I've also taught Japanese for a year at an elementary school in Prince Edward Island , Canada.
I hold licenses to teach English in Junior and senior high school, and I'm certified to teach Japanese to children internationally.
My lessons are fun, warm, building solid skills in speaking and writing.
Homework is included (kids only), and I send a short report after each lesson for you or parents.

Here are my 3 courses.
1: Kids - I use Smily Japanese “にこにこにほんご“a perfect Japanese curriculum designed for kids. We’ll start from simple words, then move on to making sentences, reading, writing, and fun activities.
YES! There will be assignments to help your child grow steadily.
2: Adult - I use “ IRODORI” a free download textbook. You’ll learn basic practical Japanese along with Japanese culture and everyday life situations.
3: Free talk (Intermediate and up) If you can already speak some Japanese, let's enjoy fun, relaxed conversation on various topics!

2: 大人ビギナー - フリーダウンロード教材の「いろどり」を使って、使える日本語を学びます。

Yuko is a wonderful teacher. Our nine year old is always excited for the lesson. Yuko is so encouraging and her lessons are very engaging. Yuko always includes feedback at the end of the lesson and further material to review and work on until the next lesson. We have all been impressed at how much our daughter has already learned.

My eight year old is loving classes with Yuko and learning so much! I especially appreciate Yuko's feedback at the end of the lessons so I can understand further what they have worked on and what we should practice. Another thing that stands out is always how friendly and positive Yuko is during the lessons. She's great!!
