JI KIM

This was a fun lesson. I'm working more on conversation skills, which is challenging but I like it. Ji-nim is her usual super supportive self. I never feel embarrassed or afraid to speak Korean with her. Even when I know I didn't do well, she points out all the positive things so I don't overlook the good (and bad) when self-evaluating. As a student, I am harder on myself than I should be, I think.

I enjoy having lessons with teacher kim. she was super encouraging and made lesson really interactive and fun!

I'm always filling the comments with the same praise because Ji-nim's a real gem. She's been a constant on my language journey, someone I can turn to for help on anything. I've improved a lot, and my love for the language only grows.

My learning adventure continues (it hasn't stopped). Ji-nim continues to be supportive and encouraging. Hearing her praise my pronunciation, or to have her eyes widen and her smile grow as I try to make small talk without any prompting from her. All of it makes me feel like I can tackle anything! I'm still having so much fun learning Korean.

A major reason why working with Ji-nim is worth every penny: when I self-study Korean, I can't catch when a sunbae for our group has given incorrect feedback. Ji-nim takes the time to point out what is wrong, why, and how to fix the error. She is the difference between being an "ok" student and becoming a "very good" one.

I really enjoyed Ji Kim's approach to learning Korean. I previously studied a lot of grammar, but it made me too reliant on reading hangeul and left me with poor listening & speaking skills. I'm looking forward to the next lesson!
