I love the English language, and I love sharing this love with other people. , I love teaching it and my lessons are engaging, varied and interesting. I enjoy teaching all levels, and vary my teaching style according to my students. I can teach both adults and children. My experience in learning different languages means I understand a lot of the challenges of learning a language, so can help you! My lessons are varied and interesting, using different resources and activities to help you to learn. I can plan lessons on about different topics including grammar, vocabulary, British culture, or we can have a conversation or work through a coursebook. Language tutorAlongside my other jobs, I have been working for several years as a private language tutor, mostly of English but also some French and Spanish. Some of this work has been online, and some in person. I have taught both adults and children.
2020 - 2020
ESOL LecturerFor 6 months I taught ESOL at Newcastle College, helping my students to improve their English language skills to work towards the Skills for Life qualifications and also to help them to learn the English they needed for their everyday life in the UK. Initially this teaching was in person, but then due to the pandemic we moved to online teaching. This experience helped me to understand the importance of tailoring my lessons towards the needs of my students.
