This past month was my 6th month under Kosuke's tutoring. I can see and feel great progress. 2 things I've noticed in particular are that my conversation speed is picking up and I'm becoming aware of many nuances to Japanese I previously had no idea about. Kosuke continues to both push and pull me forward. He does a great job identify and drilling weak points and setting the right learning speed that works for my ability and schedule. I really appreciate his lectures that highlight importance nuances. I can tell he's not just teaching, but also personally fascinated by language differences. Thanks for helping me level up!

I really enjoy instructor Kosuke's style. He's patient, gives very clear explanations, and understands both English and Japanese at a deep level. I've noticed a big improvement in my grammar and feel more confident to speak to others in Japanese.

Teacher Kouske is one of the best Japanese teachers I've ever met. I passed the JLPT N1 about 10 years ago, and I can communicate in Japanese. However, I'm eager to speak Japanese more naturally like native speakers, so I started the lesson with Teacher Kosuke. Kosuke san is very patient and friendly, which enabled me to speak Japanese without feeling stressed out from the first lesson. Each lesson is like having some casual chats with an old friend, allowing me to express my thoughts in Japanese. Meanwhile, Kosuke san focuses on the sentences I spoke, and sharing how to improve (or express) in a more native way, which really helps a lot as that's something I'm not able to learn by merely watching the Japanese drama. As for the grammar, Kosuke san not only helps refresh the grammar I've learned before, but also explains feelings or meaning hidden behind when using that grammar, that also help me to communicate like native speakers. I really appreciate and enjoy the lessons a lot!

Kosuke-sensei is a patient and knowledgeable teacher. I have been studying with him for the past three months, and I plan to continue our lessons for the foreseeable future. His classes are extremely interactive, which was a very important factor for me. He is also exceptionally well-organized; this was something that immediately impressed me, as many teachers on iTalki are not as structured. Lastly, Kosuke-sensei identified the specific areas I needed to focus on and has demonstrated an ability to customize his classes to suit a student's individual needs.
