She is genuinely the best Japanese teacher I have ever had, and I only wish I had found her sooner! I have been trying to learn Japanese for quite some time and have studied with different teachers, but for the first time, I feel that I have found a teacher who is not only extremely knowledgeable, but also truly knows how to teach. Her English is excellent, which means that whenever something needs a deeper explanation, she can explain it very clearly and precisely. At the same time, she actively encourages me to speak Japanese throughout the lesson and creates an environment where I am not afraid of making mistakes. She guides you clearly through the learning process, so you always understand what you are working on and where you are heading. After struggling for a long time to make real progress in Japanese, I finally feel that I have found the right teacher. I can realistically imagine working towards the JLPT with confidence. I cannot recommend her highly enough.

This was my 180th lesson with Fuka sensei. Fuka sensei was the first sensei I booked on iTalki and she has always been a massive influence on my Japanese studies. Fuka sensei has helped me enormously ever since our first lesson. Her encouragement, gentle corrections, exemplary conduct, wonderfully cheerful and bright personality is heaven sent. I couldn't ask for anything more from Fuka sensei, she ticks each and every box of what a good sensei should be. Fuka-sensei is an amazing teacher, she takes time to explain the topics, and works at a great pace. She gives plenty of time for figuring out the answers to the questions, and is very patient overall. She also gives plenty of examples for any questions we may have for her. She is a great teacher that is helping us reach our goals to learn Japanese.

I've had Italki sessions with Fuka-sensei for a while now. In our sessions, we have conversations about things ranging from the week, hobbies, what's happening in the world, and fun hypotheticals. The range of topics has allowed me to explore lots of different Japanese vocabulary that I might not have encountered if not for Fuka-sensei. If I ever struggle to come up with the appropriate word, Fuka-sensei is there to give me a chance to try and figure it out on my own, and jump in if I am still struggling. I highly recommend booking a session with Fuka-sensei to level up your Japanese!

I've had several lessons with Fuka sensei now and each time I come away feeling fulfilled. She is great at keeping the conversation going if I get stuck and is always open to clarifying questions when I'm unsure whether I'm using the correct Japanese or not. I can feel myself improving little by little and I always look forward to the next lesson.
