I'm Sarah, I'm born and raised in Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. I also lived for a couple of years in Maranhão. I graduated as an electronics technician. I can speak English and
Hunsrik and I learned both by myself because I like very much studying languages and understanding the "whys" behind each word and structure. All the accents of the country are very familiar to me but I prefer to use a cleaner language for a better understanding of the listeners. I love teaching, so I've been teaching as a volunteer for many years. I already taught a lot of people, of different ages, to read and improve their skills of text understanding and interpretation. I'm very good at teaching children and elders because I'm patient and I can adapt my teaching to the needs of each student. I've been working in an online English school for 3 years and nowadays I'm also tutoring people who are learning to speak Hunsrik.レッスン形式・教え方
Teaching pronunciation techniques is what I love the most. I help the student to first notice the differences between the sounds of Portuguese and their languages and then speak the most difficult sounds of Portuguese.
I like teaching grammar with videos and conversation examples.
I use music, idiomatic expressions, and history to teach about the culture and behaviors.
I encourage the student to make their research by sending homework assignments.教材

Sarah is excellent! Her conversational lessons are a perfect balance of structured and unstructured exploration--she seamlessly weaves little lessons about language and culture into informal conversation such that you don't even realize how much you've learned after chatting with her. She also makes corrections in an unobtrusive way that doesn't interrupt the flow of conversation. And she brings a positive energy to every lesson which shows how much she enjoys teaching.
After several lessons with Sarah and other Brazilian Portuguese tutors, I can confidently recommend Sarah to anyone who wants to improve their conversational Portuguese.

Sarah is a wonderful teacher. Very patient and takes time to explain things. I like her dynamic and flexible approach, when we come across a grammar point in conversation she is able to explain effectively. She is also very knowledgeable in the Brazilian culture. I highly recommend her!
