Hello? Habari? I'm Kathy, thank you for taking the time to go through my profile. I am an easy person to talk to, that's how majority of my students describe me. I'm a good listener, I pay attention to detail and I love to teach. I have been teaching on Italki for the last 2.5years can't believe it and It has been one of the most enjoyable experiences ever. I'm also passionate about social and economic impact, a calling that I pursue amongst my community here in Kenya. My students describe me as kind, knowledgeable, conversational, fun and patient. In the 2 years of teaching Swahili on Italki, I have learnt to understand how beautifully different each student I meet is. I tailor make the lesson to match my student's personality, needs and goals. Each lesson looks different for each student. I give lots of encouragement to my students to keep them going because I understand how challenging learning a new language is. As an American born in Kenya Cathy has made me more comfortable speaking swahilli, the lessons help me reach the goal of having conversations in swahilli with family back in Kenya .Learning a lot of new vocabulary each lesson.Darasa lilikuwa la kuvutia tulizungumzia kuhusu kusafiri na ndoto.
