My name is Hiromi from Okinawa Island, Japan. I was born in the beautiful city of Kanazawa and I also lived in Tokyo, Yokohama and Nara. I have a master's degree in sociology and have been a counselor and a communication trainer for the last 30 years. I also have written and translated several books and articles about family, gender, etc. I attended many conferences in Japan and other countries, in which I learnt a lot of things to empower women and girls. Today Hiromi-San and I had free- talk. I enjoyed having the opportunity to use what I’ve learned and combine it into spoken language. I feel more confident with speaking and retrieving words and grammar points that we’ve used and convert it into spoken language.

Hiromi Sensei has a wonderful personality and is genuinely interested in her students lives. Each conversation is a great exchange of ideas and experiences and has allowed me to talk about topics that are outside of the typical language learner stereotypes. We’ve been able to talk about politics, technology, personal lives, career development, sociological phenomena and much more! It’s been a lot of fun! If you would like to have witty and engaging conversations that are more than the usual talk of shopping, vacations, and weather, you should definitely take her classes!
