こうすけ(Kousuke)

I have now been studying with Kousuke-san for a little over a year. I’ve never given a review until now because I wanted to see how things would progress. I can honestly say that I am elated. Kousuke-san is extremely kind and has the patience of a saint. He is very encouraging and will let me prattle on and on about anything. I can ask him questions or for corrections at any time. Over the time spent learning with him, I have gained a lot more confidence in my speaking ability. I certainly don’t speak perfectly or even correctly at times, but I can get my point across and I am no longer afraid to try speaking with others. I am very happy with my progress and look forward to even more improvement with him. こうすけさんありがとうございました！

I've been having lessons with Kousuke-sensei for over a year now. I was so nervous before my first lesson with him but his kind and encouraging manner quickly put me at ease, and I’ve been having free talk lessons with him regularly ever since. Kousuke-sensei is very patient when I make mistakes or need to take time to figure out what I want to say. If I can only express myself in English or clumsy Japanese, he will helpfully rephrase it into natural Japanese for me. Kousuke-sensei always creates a welcoming learning environment and naturally guides the conversation to topics that are easy to talk about, so lessons never feel awkward and I always look forward to the next one. I’ve been learning Japanese by myself for years but it’s only in the last year and a half that I’ve developed the confidence to speak and actually have a conversation thanks to Kousuke-sensei and the warm learning environment he takes care to create. 先生いつもありがとうございます 😊

If only by seeing Japanese characters you feel discouraged and intimidated then you have to have a class with Kousuke San. It is an amazing structured and fun studying environment when you learn in your own pace. The classes are always prepared in a way to advance a little bit and if you properly do your homework by repeating and studying what you learnt in class you will see an amazing progress. (I did not do enough home study this year, but I will do more going forward definitely). Thank you so much Kousuke San for your patience and you willingness to share and teach Japanese. I started to learn Japanese this year and I knew that this journey will not be easy, but I could not image that the characters in this amount and complexity will start to make sense for me one day and they did thanks to these classes. I slowly started to read, understand the spoke language and even the numbers. Thank you so much Kousuke San for 2024, I will see you in 2025 for more amazing lessons!

This was my first lesson on italki, and he was very nice, friendly, and easy to talk to. He explained things clearly whenever I didn’t understand something. I’d definitely recommend!

Kosuke-san was extremely friendly, patient, and encouraging. He kindly helped me identify the best next steps for my learning journey and gently corrected me whenever I said something unclear. He also paid close attention to everything I shared, which made the lesson very engaging and productive. I will definitely book more lessons with him to continue improving my Japanese!
