I started knowing basically just “hola” and “gracias.” Now I travel to Spain, walk into any restaurant, order a full meal, and follow what locals say back to me. That transformation is thanks to Yuliana. She is one of the warmest, most patient tutors I’ve had. She never makes you feel rushed when you’re thinking, and if you don’t know a word right away, she gives you space without any pressure. You feel safe to make mistakes. Since we focus on travel vocabulary, she sometimes brings up pictures of traditional dishes/places from Spain, Colombia, and other Spanish-speaking countries. Yuliana is a great teacher and a lovely person overall. I have learned SO much from her, sometimes without even realizing it. Our lessons don’t even feel like lessons sometimes; I feel like i’m just video chatting with a friend. She is great at creating a comfortable and educational environment. I’m hard on myself, but Yuliana is so patient and reassuring. I truly look forward to my lessons with her!

Great teacher, I have been with her for more than 2 years and i will be with her until i speak fluently and probably will continue even after that. I highly recommend her as a teacher for anyone at any level.

As of writing this review, I have taken around 6 lessons with Yuliana. Our lessons in the past were mainly focused on speaking practice and vocabulary since that's what I wanted to work on, but as I saw how reliable and present she is, I decided to book a package with her and move toward a more structured approach. She is really helping me with improving my grammar. I'm at the stage where I am plateauing and kind of forgetting things I already know (this is normal in language learning), but she's very patient with that and helps me with recall. I have never gotten the feeling that she is impatient or annoyed and I always feel comfortable being in the class with her. She's definitely worth the time and makes the learning process an enjoyable one. I'm looking forward to improving my skills over the next few weeks with the help of Yuliana. Apart from discussing the next chapter of the video she recommended, we talked about the current soccer games and I found I could converse a little better, off script. I still needed corrections on the irregular past tenses but in general I am pleased with my progress. I hope Yuliana is too.
