This trial lesson covers how to great someone in ASL so you can start using it right away! We will cover the ASL alphabet, some basic finger spelling tips to spell your name, and we will be practicing a basic greeting. I will be demonstrating the vocabulary and use pictures. Students will receive a PDF document on what we cover.

This lesson teaches students how to sign vocabulary clearly and accurately as well as how to use them in everyday conversations. The goal of this lesson is to help you start signing quickly and confidently with the goal to fluency.

Lessons that stick: Each lesson will have a review of what we learned in the previous lesson.

Our focus will be on learning vocabulary, how to ask questions, how to form sentences, and how to use classifiers and non manual signs.

If you are interested in starting a package with me, you will have access to my Google Classroom where you can access videos of information we cover in class. This includes vocabulary in video form and practice exercises.

Each class will use pictures, demonstrations, and videos. At the end of each lesson students will receive a PDF of what we covered in the lesson.

The Beginners Guide to ASL Vocabulary and Conversation

Talk with me! This is a "Voices off" chatting practice. If you are feeling stuck on your ASL progress I recommend using the language to improve your grammar skills and receptive skills. We can talk about your day, hobbies, vacations, movies, or other things you enjoy. We can use this time to practice areas where you might be struggling such as fingerspelling and non manual signs.

Each lesson starts with advanced vocabulary or concepts and finishes with half the lesson in a voices off conversation. Lessons will teach advanced vocabulary you wont see in beginner courses, dynamic storytelling, and or changing SEE sentence structure to ASL sentence structure.
