This certificate was obtained in person. This week-long course is spent in a large classroom learning 40 different teaching methods, particularly how they can be applied to teaching a second language. The course is very interactive and engaging.

This was an online course I took through VIPKID. It involved reading text and watching videos that helped me improve my online teaching skills. After taking an exam that pertained to the course, I received the certificate.

I chose to take this course again as a refresher.

My studies at the University of Science, Arts & Techology focused on education and included the following courses: How We Learn, The Art of Teaching, An Introduction to Neuroscience and the Human Brain, Neuroscience 1: Brain Systems, Neuroscience 2: Applied Neuroscience, Memory and the Human Lifespan, Understanding Linguistics, and the History of English Language Usage.

I am currently contracted with VIPKID. I teach English as a second language to Chinese children from age 4 - 17.

I worked at an insurance company for 14 years, so I have experience with business English.
