During the trial lesson we will have a conversation so that I can assess your English level, and you can learn about my teaching style.  I will ask you questions about your goals, interests, and hobbies.  After the class, I will send you some sample materials that we could use in future lessons, based on your goals and level.  

If you are interested in test preparation (Movers, Flyers, KET, PET, FCE, or CAE) please tell me in a message before the lesson.  We can do a full practice oral test, and I’ll send you feedback after the class.  

For children, I will either do a simple lesson about animals or about school subjects, depending on the level of the child.  Older children with more advanced English will be asked about their interests and preferences, and led to play some fun interactive games.  Very young children will do an activity about matching mommy animals with their babies.

Regular practice is the best way to improve your oral English.  This class is a speaking class, but it’s also much more. Every lesson, I’ll prepare a special conversation topic just for you.  In order to help you diversify your vocabulary and the flexibility of your language skills, we’ll study a wide variety of themes.  This class includes materials like news articles, custom written dialogues, and PowerPoints.  If there is a special topic you hope to cover, let me know in advance, and I’ll prepare it for you.  Homework available upon request.

This class focuses only on the speaking part of the Cambridge exams.

Are you preparing for the Cambridge FCE (B2 First) or PET (B1 Preliminary) exam? In this class, we will practice only the speaking section of the test.

You can choose how many lessons to book:

We will complete a full speaking test (FCE or PET), just like the real exam. After the test, I will give you personal feedback and suggestions for improvement.

We will focus on one part of the speaking test in each lesson:
	•	Lesson 1: Part 1 – Personal questions (FCE and PET)
	•	Lesson 2: Part 2 – Describing a photo (PET) / Comparing two photos (FCE)
	•	Lesson 3: Part 3 – Discussion  (PET) / Collaborative task (FCE)
	•	Lesson 4: Part 4 – Giving your opinion and answering questions (FCE and PET)
	•	Lesson 5: Full test and feedback

In a longer course, we can also work on:
	•	Speaking fluency and confidence
	•	High level vocabulary, linking words, and idioms to boost your score

⚠️  No children!!! If I open the italki classroom and find a child under the age of 18 attending this class, the class will end immediately and the student will be expected to pay the full lesson cost.

This is a relaxed, casual conversation course. We will talk about any topic you want, and I will correct your grammar and pronunciation when needed.

Because this is a no-preparation class, I will not create special materials before the lesson. If we run out of ideas during the conversation, I can use a random question generator or show you pictures to describe, so there will always be something to talk about.

This class is for adult students only. If I open the classroom and see a student under the age of 18, the class will be immediately cancelled.

This course does not allow late reschedules. Reschedules must be made at least 24 hours before the lesson.
