I'm excited to help you improve your English! In the trial lesson, you can get to know my teaching style, which focuses on learning English in a natural and organic way. Don't worry if you make mistakes - it's all part of learning! 

After our trial lesson, if you enjoyed the experience, we can identify your preferred way to study and practice English. That could be a focus on speaking, or a combination of skills that you want to improve (reading, grammar, vocabulary, etc.).

I have a variety of resources to use, both in class, and for you to study independently. I look forward to meeting you!

In this class, we will focus on a specific topic for you to focus on improving your speaking fluency. This includes a variety of activities designed to make you think, and express yourself in a deep way.

Intermediate and Advanced English Speaking Class

CELTA (Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults) is a teacher training qualification for teaching English as a second or foreign language (ESL and EFL). It is provided by Cambridge English Language Assessment through authorised Cambridge English Teaching Qualification centres. I earned this qualification in January 2016.

I earned a Bachelor's Degree in Creative Writing/Liberal Arts and Sciences from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in May 2010.

• Serve as first tier for questions from applicants, search firm, unit and administrative representatives regarding searches
    • Interpret University policy to assist applicants, search committees, and others in navigating the search process to ensure successful, efficient and fair searches
    • Assist University employees with a wide variety of Human Resources inquiries.

• Prepare lesson plans and conduct activities that target confidence, vocabulary building, pronunciation practice and grammar • Instruct students using textbooks, worksheets, games, and visuals to help improve reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills • Provide differentiated instruction to support student academic growth • Assess progress of students to ensure success of language program

• Develop reading, writing, speaking and listening skills in small and large classes by planning classes and presenting lessons • Write, prepare and submit semester lesson plans and create and design activities and exams to test students’ abilities • Conduct group and one-on-one settings in order to address individual needs • Establish positive relationships with students, fellow teachers and school administrators/staff
